Lissa's Lover: Chapter 31: Trust

"Hmm ... sweet baby. My sexy lady, please be mine tonight.

Give me all of you and I promise to be gentle."

"Yes," she moaned softly. "Yes, I am yours," she whimpered.

He tossed and turned through the night. He slept, but it wasn't a restful one. Near daybreak his body broke into a cold sweat and he had a pounding headache.

He felt a constriction in his chest and throat. He opened his eyes and a single word passed his lips, "Lissa." He sat up, his heart pounding, and reached for his phone on the night table.

Jordan squeezed the power button on his cellphone. It was 2:25 a.m. He took deep breaths and tried to calm himself.

Something was wrong, he could feel it. He unlocked his phone and dialed Lissa's number. The phone rang until it went to voicemail. He dialed again. He called four times, no answer. He got up and went to the bathroom and peed. After he flushed and washed his hands he prayed for her that she would be okay.

He went into his kitchen and poured a glass of water for himself. He gulped it down then poured more water, but sipped that slowly. He breathed a prayer that someone would answer her phone, if not her.

After waiting five minutes, he felt the urge to call again. He went back to his bedroom and hit redial. The phone rang then went to voicemail. He took a deep breath and dialed again. "One more time," he whispered. After the third ring, he heard a shuffle, crackle and then Marcus's voice on the line.

"She's at the Mandeville Regional Hospital," Marcus said. Jordan felt the pressure in his chest building. He sat on the bed and adjusted his body to lay on his back.

"What's wrong with her?" Jordan asked, fear twisting his gut.

Marcus sighed. "You were right. The fever returned with a vengeance. No delirium, thank God, but she had a high fever. She ... she's been asking for you."

There was a shuffle on the line then Marcus said, "Jordan, I wanna say I'm sorry about everything that's happened and um ... how I have been treating you."

Jordan sighed. He took a deep breath and swallowed, then exhaled. "That's fine. Has the fever broken?"

"Yeah, about ten minutes ago," Marcus replied.

"Around 2:25?" Jordan asked. He pressed the power button. It was 2:36 now. He put Marcus on speaker phone and sat up.

"Yeah, around that time," Marcus answered. How did he know? "Look, I know what I said and I'm sorry. I'm not too full of pride to ask you to consider coming back as Lissa's guard. Would you come back? I'll pay you more."

Jordan sighed. "I'm sorry, I can't. This has gone beyond what I expected ..."

"I'm sorry for how I treated you. You were right about the fever. I also told the medical team working on her about her overdose and the symptoms you described. I'll pay you double if you want."

"It's not about the money," Jordan said. Even now he could feel her--like she was calling to him. His own body ached for her. His mind was filled with her, but his heart didn't want to be shattered if she hurt him.

"I'm sorry. I can't. Tell Lissa I hope she feels better and I will pray she does," Jordan said.

"Jordan?"

"I gotta go," Jordan answered. " I just wanted to find out if she was okay."

"Okay," Marcus said. He was disappointed that Jordan wouldn't reconsider, but after how he treated him, he couldn't blame him for being reluctant to return.

Jordan ended their conversation. He whispered a brief prayer for Lissa. He felt better. Jordan closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Five days later - Friday

It had been five days and no word from Jordan. Her heart was breaking. Little by little her strength was coming back. There was no sign of the fever, and she was taking medication to stabilize her mood, as well as some multivitamins the doctor prescribed to boost her immune system.

Physically, Lissa was mending, but mentally and emotionally she felt empty. The pills for stabilizing her mood were mild, generic antidepressants. She was monitored by the doctor and would take them for thirty days. Afterwards, she would be on a lower dose for another thirty days.

She felt good generally, but the pills couldn't dull the ache she felt for him. "Oh Jordie, I need you," she said with a quiet sigh. "If you were here I would show you how sorry I am."

Sometimes it felt like she could almost feel his touch on her brow. Obviously, she must be hallucinating, but there were times when she dozed during the day, she dreamt of him. She dreamt that he was smiling at her, that he was caressing her hips and thighs--telling her she was beautiful.

Other times she swore she could feel him near her, just touching her face and telling her she would be okay. Some nights, she cried out his name when she dreamt of him making love to her. Her body intertwined in his, his limbs wrapped around her. His lips kissing her, making her swoon with desire. She imagined his hard member stroking gently inside her, while he told her there was no other woman he wanted.

She called his cellphone, but no one answered. She was angry at herself for not trusting him. She wanted desperately to apologize. Even if he no longer wanted to be with her, she needed to apologize to him.

***

He woke up with her on his mind again. This time he dreamt she was satisfying him with her mouth all over his body, but specifically tasting him down below. He wasn't surprised to find the crotch of his pajama pants soaked. He sighed and dragged himself to the bathroom and peed. He did a number two (2) afterwards then took a long shower.

This need was driving him over the edge. He stayed home these five days just mulling over what he should do. He finished one of the assignments needed to complete his Veterinary degree, and scored a high grade. He was relieved about that. Two more written exams and a practical and he would be done.

He wrapped a towel around his hips and walked into his apartment's bedroom.

"Hahh!" he yelled out of frustration. The phone rang. He looked at the screen. It said 'Caller ID Restricted'. He grimaced. He had a feeling it was her. He looked at the screen lighting up as the phone rang. After six rings there was silence. Within a minute the phone rang again.

"What should I do?" He picked up the phone and looked at it. He took a deep breath and released it slowly. Reluctantly, he answered the call. "Hello," he said.

He heard a soft breath and a whimper. A trembly voice spoke. "I-I just wanted to hear your voice, and to say I'm sorry for doubting you," Lissa said softly.

"Things happened so fast between us--the attraction and just the chemistry between us. It ... it took me by surprise. I don't know you very well, but here I am falling for you. I've been hurt before. It's hard for me to trust. Please understand. I'm sorry."

Jordan sighed. "How are you feeling?" he asked. Lissa released a low bitter laugh. "Like my heart is being torn apart. Jordie, I'm falling for you." She took a quick breath to steady herself. "I don't know if you'll believe me, but I hope you will. I've fallen in love with you."

Jordan's breath caught. He lay on the bed. His heart rate went up--his loins stirred for her.

"Jordie, baby, I care for you, but I'm scared. My relationships never work out. I don't want that to happen with us. When you asked me to be your girlfriend I was so happy. It's just that when I saw that you undressed me while I was sleeping and you rubbed that awful smelling thing on me I panicked--"

"You thought I was trying to 'tie' you?" he asked, chuckling softly.

"Maybe a little. I'm sorry," she said her voice shaky.

He laughed. The sound was deep and gruff. It made her loins clench with need for him.

"I would never do that to you. Plus, I don't know how to 'tie' anyone if I wanted to. But even if I did believe in that sort of thing, I want your love freely, not forced. Lissa, I would never do anything to willfully hurt you. I'm falling in love with you.

"Lis, all I can think about is your body on mine. Ever since you offered to go down on me I've been thinking about it, dreaming about it," his voice deepened to a seductive tone. Her body shivered as she listened to him. "I've been wondering how your lips would feel on me. I think about being inside you--how good you must feel. Lis, if anything you're the one who has done something to me. I can't stop thinking about you."

She sighed shakily. "I swear I have done nothing to you," she said, her voice sincere. He chuckled softly. "I know darling, but you've got me hot for you, and I don't know how to turn this inferno off."

Her hands trembled as she held the phone to her lips. "What do you want me to do?" she asked.

"Come make love to me Lis. I want to feel you. I want you," he answered her. His voice was deep and sensual with a hint of sexy grit in it.

"Your bike is still here," she told him. "You could come for it and take me wherever you want us to go."

"If I come for you Lis, there's no turning back. If we make love I'll be yours, and you'll be mine, completely and irrevocably mine. Do you want that?"

"I want it Jordan. I want you," she replied breathlessly, her heart beating fast.

"No games Lis. No other man touching that tight, sweet kitty of yours, just me and only me. I don't share," he declared.  His voice dropped to a deep, dark place that made her body shiver.

"I don't want it any other way," she whispered, matching his low tone.

"You have to trust me, Lis. I'm not perfect, but I promise to cherish you in every way. If I do say something that you're not sure about, if I speak out of anger and my words rub you the wrong way, talk to me. Don't push me away, don't seek comfort elsewhere."

Lissa was sad Jordan felt he needed to say that. She closed her eyes. "Jordie, I know I've done a few things I'm not proud of, that my dad told you. But I promise you I will be loyal to you. If we do this thing I'm a hundred percent in. I just want to be loved the right way. That's all I have ever wanted." Her eyes were watering. "I promise to trust you."

Jordan blew her wet, sloppy kisses. "For between your beautiful thighs and other places I want to adore," he whispered, his tone warm and husky.

Lissa opened her eyes and smiled, her mood lifting. "Come get me," she said.

"On my way," he told her  He ended the call.

***

She took a shower rubbing the soap on her body imagining it was him caressing her. She sighed deeply. She was trying her best to be good but wanted to give in so bad.

"Jordie, I need you so much. I told myself I would wait, but I don't know if I can." Her voice betrayed the longing she had for him. She was never the type of girl to resort to self help, but she was tempted to touch herself.

She grabbed a towel, wrapped it around her body and went into the bedroom. She called him back, but this time did not hide her number. He answered immediately.

"Hi, Lissa. I'm on my way," he said. His American accent sounded so sexy as he spoke her name. She groaned. She lay on the bed and put the towel aside. "Jordie, I need you," she whimpered. Her voice was airy and sensual on the line.

Jordan heard the way she sounded and bit his bottom lip. He was on a bus heading to Mandeville. "Baby," he whispered, "what are you doing?"

Lissa moaned. "Jordie, I'm burning up. Hurry up and come for me."

"Moving as fast as possible baby. What are you doing?"

"Touching myself," she said. She gasped. "Ohh!" Her fingers skimmed the opening of her slit and she shivered.

Jordan briefly closed his eyes. "Baby, can you save it for me?" He looked around. People were minding their business. A heated conversation about politics started at the front of the bus.

He whispered, "Lis, save it for me. Sexy lady, I'm almost there. I'll give you all of me if you want me to, I promise. Every inch by hard inch will be yours. Just save it for me. Let me satisfy."

She moved her hand away from her loins. She took a breath then sucked her teeth. "I wish I hadn't listened to my dad, and my fear, you would be here."

Jordan chuckled. "It's okay baby. I'm coming to you and I won't let you go this time."

"I-I love you," she said shyly. Her heart was beating really fast. Oh God, what am I saying?! What if he doesn't feel the same way? I'm not sure if he ...

Jordan paused, but for only a second as he processed what she said. He smiled. "I love you too Lis. I'm almost there." He blew her kisses. She giggled and reciprocated. He hung up. He rested his head on the back of the seat and closed his eyes. She says she loves me. He smiled to himself. "Love you too sweet baby," he whispered.

Half an hour later, he was in Mandeville and looking for a taxi or bus going to Coleyville. After waiting for another twenty-five minutes, he got a taxi that would take him to the front of the district. But he had to walk the rest of the way to where Professor Pryce's mansion was. He asked the taxi driver for directions to get there from where he dropped him off and listened carefully. He thanked him and set off to find the house. He didn't mind walking, he wanted to see her.

As he got closer, his phone rang. It was her. "Hey baby," he said, his voice warm with affection.

"I told my dad that I'm gonna spend time with you," she told him.

His left eye brow lifted above the other. "What did he say?" he asked.

"He just looked at me like I was crazy then he nodded," she said chuckling. Jordan's lips curled into a tiny smirk. "Defying daddy's rules, eh?" he teased.

She laughed. "Only for you," she said, her voice silky-smooth on the line. Jordan felt a tightening in his loins and bit his bottom lip.

He picked up the pace of his walking. He turned a left corner and walked for six more minutes.

"Where are you now?" she asked.

"Maybe a half a block away from the house. I'm very close," he told her. He grinned as he listened to her make cute, gleeful sounds.

"I can't wait to see you," she said excitedly.

"Same here sweet baby," he replied.

"Jordie, what I said earlier about how I feel, I meant it. I've fallen in love with you," she said shyly.

Jordan blew a sloppy kiss. "I know. I meant what I said too. I love you."

They were still on the phone when he finally reached the house and stood before it. His bike was still at the front of the house but someone had thrown a tarpaulin over it. "I'm outside baby, let me in," he said seductively. "Let me inside sweet mama." He hung up.

Lissa giggled then walked to the front door and pressed the console attached to the wall. The automatic gate opened slowly. Jordan walked through. Lissa met him at the door and jumped on him.

He gathered her in his arms and kissed her passionately. He hoisted her up into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. Then he cupped and squeezed her buttocks with both hands.

Lissa groaned. "Oh baby," she said airily.

He grunted. "Lissa," he said, his voice gravelly and deep with longing.

He squeezed her bottom and she moaned softly. She squeezed him with her thighs and groaned. Jordan looked at her. Their eyes were locked in a gaze that revealed how they felt about each other.

"Will we be alone where you're taking me?" she asked. The fingers of her right hand traced the five o'clock shadow on his face.

He kissed her brow and nodded. "I'm taking you to my place," he told her. Kissing her lips tenderly, he bent forward so she could place her feet on the floor.

He looked up to see Professor Pryce walking into the foyer. He straightened to his full height. Prof Pryce smiled when he saw him. "You're back!" he said, walking towards him. He extended his hand to Jordan who stepped forward and shook it. He too had a smile of greeting on his face.

Jordan looked around for the housekeeper. "How's Mrs Douglas?" he asked.

Prof Pryce smiled. "She's gone to visit her husband," he said.

Jordan sobered. "Is he getting better? Is the treatment working?" he queried.

"As far as we can see," Prof Pryce answered. His smile dropped a little as his eyes showed uncertainty.

Jordan felt Lissa's body pressing into him. He placed his left arm around her waist and pulled her closer. He rubbed her side to comfort her. She bent her head on the crook of his arm.

Just then, Marcus walked into the room. He was on the phone with Sandra who was flourishing at the new private medical facility he sent her to. "Pumpkin, your mother wants to talk to you," Marcus said. He stretched out his hand to Lissa.

Lissa took the phone smiling. A few minutes later however she was teary eyed. Marcus was about to step forward to comfort her, but Jordan moved quickly to her and rubbed her back.

Marcus stood rooted, watching the two of them. Maybe it's time I let her go, he thought. He still needed to ensure her protection from Mr Z, but she was not a child. She could be with whoever she wanted.

He lifted his gaze to look at Jordan. Perceiving Marcus's eyes on him, Jordan focused his gaze on Lissa's dad. Marcus smiled slightly and nodded at him. Jordan nodded back, cautiously.

By one o'clock in the afternoon Mrs Douglas was back at the house. By that time, Lissa made lunch for everyone. She ensured she made enough so that Rachel could have something to eat when she got back.

Marcus called Jordan into Professor Pryce's study after they ate. Professor Pryce decided to retire to his room to take a nap. Rachel stuffed the saltfish fritters and stewed chicken breast in her mouth.

"This is really good," she said smiling at Lissa.

Lissa grinned broadly at her. "Thank you," she said.

"So Jordan is back," Rachel stated cheekily.

Lissa chuckled. "Yeah, he is, but just to come get me. We'll be gone for a little while."

Rachel's eyes brightened with curiousity. "For how long?" she asked.

"I'm not sure. Maybe the weekend or a week."

Rachel had an amused smile on her face. "I don't blame you. He is handsome."

Lissa laughed. She looked towards the study. That he is, she mused.

Ping!

Jordan heard a notification come in on his phone. He checked it and saw a transfer to his bank account of $500,000. He looked at Marcus--stunned.

"My way of saying I'm sorry," Marcus said quietly. "I was wrong."

"My loyalty can't be bought, Mr Dixon," Jordan warned. "And you've already apologized."

"You don't need the money?" Marcus asked, eyebrows raised.

Jordan nodded. "I do, but I need your daughter more. I'm in love with Lissa, and she told me earlier she feels the same way."

Marcus paused and looked at him. "Is that true?" he asked.

Jordan nodded. "But you can ask her if you want," he quipped.

"I've already transferred the money," Marcus said, shrugging his shoulders. "Just take it and put it to good use however you want. And, I am sorry. I should have listened to you about the fever." He perched on the edge of Prof Pryce's desk.

"What happened?" Jordan asked.

Marcus sighed. "Maybe twenty minutes after you left she started complaining of feeling dizzy. I was in the study having ... a discussion with Prof Pryce. During that time she started feeling dizzy and Rachel--Mrs Douglas called me. I figured she was just feeling sad about you leaving. She didn't look flushed or anything like that. She wasn't hot like she had a fever."

Marcus stared at a bookshelf. "She told me she would take a warm shower and get some sleep. Rachel brought her food up to her room and she said Lissa looked better, but I couldn't shake this niggling feeling."

Jordan shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Something told me to go check on her." Marcus took a deep breath. "So after my chat with the Professor I went to her room. She was burning up and calling for you." He turned and looked at Jordan. Jordan crossed his arms over his chest as he continued to listen.

"Prof Pryce had fever reducer tablets so he gave her one. It kind of helped with the fever, but then she started complaining of pain and feeling weak."

"What time was that?" Jordan asked.

"What time I went to her room?"

"Mhm ..."

"Maybe after one." He saw Jordan's body language. He had a grim look on his face. Marcus scratched his growing beard. "Around 1:30 or minutes to 2 a.m. maybe. Prof and I had a disagreement. He felt I was being stubborn for letting you leave. And I was."

"I rushed her to the Mandeville Regional Hospital, and they injected her with something. Not sure what."

"Did you ask them what it was for?" Jordan asked, his brow knotting.

"The nurse told me it would help with the body ache she was experiencing," Marcus answered.

Jordan nodded. "Okay," he said.

"She felt better around 25 or 26 minutes after 2 in the morning," Marcus told him. "Do you love my daughter enough to marry her?" he asked.

Jordan smiled. "Yes I do," he answered. Though the question took him by surprise after what they were discussing, there was no doubt in his heart about how he felt.

Marcus observed him carefully. He seems sure of himself.  "My daughter can be a handful," he said, a tiny smile creeping up his lips.

Jordan chuckled. "I don't mind," he said quietly.

"Okay," Marcus nodded. "I'll be watching you," he said.

"I expect you to," Jordan said laughing.

Despite everything that had happened Marcus was beginning to admire the young man standing before him. He nodded, a tiny smile on his lips. "Okay."

***

At 3:30 in the afternoon, after a light supper prepared by both Lissa and Rachel, Jordan mounted his motorcycle with Lissa behind him. She brought a travel bag with some of her clothes with her. He tucked the bag behind them and strapped it to the bike's frame. He forgot to bring a pillion helmet so he gave her his.

He squeezed her thigh. "You ready?" he asked.

She reached for his hand and squeezed her reply. He leaned back and kissed her fingers then released her.

As they drove off, Marcus stood at the door watching them. Prof Pryce squeezed his shoulder. "She'll be fine. He'll take care of her," he tried to reassure him.

Marcus sighed. "He better,' he quipped.

By 5:40 p.m. they were in Kingston and speeding towards his apartment. When he got there and he secured his bike, he lifted her in his arms and kissed her passionately. He took her hand and they took the elevator together hands intertwined the whole way up to his apartment.

When they entered the living room, he locked the door behind them. Jordan took her travelling bag from her hand and placed it by the door. He lifted her in his arms wrapping her thick thighs around him. He kissed her tenderly and walked with her to the bedroom.

While he kissed her, he laid her on his bed, and removed his shirt. She looked up at him, her eyes taking in every detail of his muscular torso. She admired his strong, rippling arm muscles. She felt breathless as she viewed his broad, defined chest. And felt her loins jump as her eyes ventured past his sculpted abs to the evidence of his arousal.

"I love you," he said, his green eyes filled with passion.

"I love you," Lissa breathed, her heart rate rising the longer she looked at him.

He left and went into his small kitchen. He brought back a chocolate bar he stored in the fridge.  It was her favorite type. He wasn't a fan of chocolate, but he had the urge to do something naughty with it, just for her.

She sat up and grinned at him. "When did you get this?" she asked. She reached for it but he pulled his hand away at the last minute. She giggled. "What are you doing?" she asked. "Give it to me," she said laughing as she made several attempts to snatch it from him, and he evaded her efforts successfully.

His eyes showed mischief. He started to laugh. Lissa lunged at him, knocking him back on the bed. The chocolate candy flew from his hand onto the floor near a cute, pink, loveseat he had in his bedroom. She attempted to get up and go for it, but Jordan grabbed her by her waist and pulled her on top of him. He kissed her, teasing her lips with expert precision.

Lissa groaned and whispered his name, "Jordan ... hmm."

He rolled over pinning her under him and continued to kiss her until she was dazed and breathless. He got up and went to retrieve the chocolate bar. Walking to the bed, he ripped off the top of the wrapper and broke off a piece. Placing the tip of it in his mouth, he sat on the bed, and gestured with his head that she should take the piece from him.

With her heart leaping in her chest Lissa sat up and scooted closer to him. She leaned forward to retrieve the piece of chocolate, when Jordan held on to her neck and smushed his lips on hers. He used his lips to deliver the decadent candy into her mouth. Lissa shivered.

She closed her eyes as she chewed. "Want more?" Jordan asked, his voice husky and deep. She nodded and opened her eyes. He did it again, this time his tongue snaked out and found hers.

The third time he put the whole piece in his mouth. She looked at him, eyebrows raised. He beckoned to her with his fingers. "Come for it," he challenged.

Lissa was thoroughly turned on by what he was doing. She moved towards him. She pressed her mouth on his and he opened it, brushing his tongue on her lips with the chocolate in tow. She moaned and opened her mouth to receive his tongue.  He seductively slipped it inside her mouth, delivering the chocolate. She swooned and leaned into him.

He sucked on a part of the bar and made her bite off the piece his mouth had been on. She swallowed feeling her body shiver with excitement. The intimate acts between them made her feel weak, her loins clenching. He handed her the bar. "Your turn," he told her.

Lissa removed her blouse and lay back. She broke off a tiny cube of the bar and moistened it with her mouth then smeared it on her neck and chest. She lay back watching him. Jordan crawled to her, his green eyes glinting in the amber light of the setting sun.

He came over her, bent down and sucked and licked the chocolate off her skin. Lissa shuddered and called his name. He reached behind her and unhooked her bra. Inching the bra lower so he could see her cleavage, he winked at her. "Do that again," he whispered.

Lissa did it again, smearing more chocolate on her bosom, her fingers moving past the curve of her breasts--grazing her now hardened nipples. With a primal groan, Jordan buried his face between her breasts, licking and suckling slowly, gently. Lissa arched up. He slipped the bra down; off her body and feasted his eyes on her.

Her breasts were large, soft but firm. Her skin--the color of churned mocha. He stared at the round, beautiful globes with cute little buds in the middle, and knew these would be his favorite body parts on her. He saw the moistened chocolate smeared on her breasts and licked his lips.

"You're beautiful," he said.

Tenderly, he cupped her left breast and began sucking off the chocolate while groaning softly. Lissa moaned his name as her body trembled. He cupped both breasts and pressed his face on them then sucked them. His lips and tongue skimmed her nipples and Lissa cried out.

Jordan suckled on her nipples slowly, savoring the smell of her skin. The hint of chocolate flavor on her body was maddening. He groaned deeply and pulled harder. Lissa arched up and pressed her fingers into his shoulders.

"Ohh Jordie ... ohh baby," she said breathlessly.

He looked up at her face. "Hmm ... sweet baby. My sexy lady, please be mine tonight. Give me all of you and I promise to be gentle."

"Yes," she moaned softly. "Yes, I am yours," she whimpered.

Jordan pulled down the skirt she was wearing and eyed the gold colored lacy underwear she had on. He cupped her gently. Lissa spread her legs, lifted her hips and pelvis to press herself into his touch. Jordan blew her kisses while she grinded her hips for him.

Easing back to stand on his feet, Jordan pulled the buckle of his belt, unbuttoned his pants, and unlaced his sneakers. He drew down his pants, kicked them off his feet, along with his shoes, and stood before her. She looked at him, saw the promise of pleasure straining against his underpants and closed her eyes.

She groaned his name. "I love you Jordie," she said softly.

He came to her and put her hand on his private area. "Touch me babe. All of this is yours," he told her.

Shyly, Lissa sat up and gently squeezed him. He groaned deeply and bit down on his bottom lip. "Your touch feels so good Lis," he said.

"Jordie, you're ... you're so thick!" she exclaimed. She continued to hold him through his underpants, rubbing on him slowly.

He chuckled. "Is that okay?" he asked, amused. His breathing escalated slightly as she continued to caress him.

She nodded eagerly. "Yes," she said airily. "Yes, it's perfect. You're perfect."

He captured her lips and pressed his body on her, kissing her with fervent need. He slipped off her panties, and gently teased her throbbing nub while listening to her moans.

"I love you sexy lady," he whispered.

"I love you baby," she told him.

Saturday

When she opened her eyes he wasn't beside her, but she smelt a delicious odour wafting from the kitchen. She stretched her limbs and sighed. They almost, but it hurt too much for her. They didn't go all the way.

She cried, but Jordan held her close to him and told her he didn't mind. Instead, he gently caressed her clit and fingered her until she came to pieces for him. Afterwards, they cuddled for a while, then he went to the bathroom. When he returned, he was a little sweaty and she felt awful.  He reassured her that everything was fine, but she couldn't stop how she felt. She offered to taste him, but he told her he wasn't ready for that yet.

Lissa stood to her feet and walked into the kitchen. He was shirtless and it looked like he was cooking scrambled eggs and what she perceived to be hash browns. She cleared her throat and he looked up at her.

"Good morning," he said smiling at her.

"Good morning," she said, feeling like she had something she needed to get off her chest.

"I was gonna bring breakfast to you," he told her. He lowered his head and concentrated on preparing the food.

"Jordan, look at me, please," she said, her confidence wavering. Jordan paused, then looked up. She saw the pain in his eyes and a lump settled in her chest.

"I'm so sorry about last night. I-I thought I was ready. Jordie, please don't be mad at me," she said feeling pitiful.

He turned off the stove and scooped the last bits of hash browns onto a clean paper towel with a spatula, to drain the excess oil. He walked over to her, his eyes focused on her face. Bending forward, he lightly brushed his thumb on her cheeks. "I love you," he said. "You mean more to me than sex. Whatever it is can be fixed, and maybe your body just needs more time to heal, okay?"

She nodded, but said, "I failed you." Tears began to streak down her face. Jordan brushed them away and kissed her trembling lips.

"You never failed me. One of these days I will have you, and I will enjoy every minute of it and so will you," he said tenderly. He kissed her brow.

"Thank you for holding me until I fell asleep," she said sadly.

He caressed her right hip. "I love holding you. My pleasure." He slapped her butt and she jumped nervously.

"Hey ... hey, it will be okay. I promise you." He kissed her lips with soft, little pecks. "Let's eat, okay?" He smiled at her.

Lissa nodded, smiling. "Okay," she replied. He rested his right hand on her lower back and led her to the dining table.

Using Professor Pryce's landline phone, Marcus dialed the investments branch of the JCB--Jamaica Commercial Bank. After what happened less than 48 hours ago, he felt it was necessary to secure his family just in case something were to happen to him. He had life insurance but realized he needed to be more prepared. Even when Sandra got out of the hospital her health may never be the same again. They both had to face that reality. He listened to the ringtone. She was depending on him.

"Good morning, Jamaica Commercial Bank, how may we serve you today?" the rep said cheerily.

"Good morning," he said. "My name is Marcus Octavius Dixon. My wife's name is Sandra Claire Dixon. We've been customers of JCB for 18 years. Our children are also savers at the bank. I would like to know the procedure for setting up a trust for my wife and children."

"Hold to be transferred, Mr Dixon," the rep said.

"Okay, yes I will hold ... thank you." He listened as a calm, professional voice listed the services being offered by the bank.

After two minutes had passed a quirky sounding female rep came on the line. Marcus reiterated the information he supplied earlier and listened to her instructions.

"So there'll be several documents I have to sign?" he asked.

"Yes sir, there are a few documents that will need your signature. We have several options we believe you will find beneficial to your family. May I ask your age?" the young woman said sweetly.

Marcus chuckled. "I'm 58," he replied.

"Will that be a problem?" he asked. He hadn't realized it, but his voice dipped to playful, husky inflection that took the young rep by surprise.

She blushed. "Uh ... sir?" Then cleared her throat.

"Yes?" Marcus was distracted by Rachel cleaning nearby him. There was a pause on the other end.

"Young lady, may I ask your name?" he asked, perplexed at the silence.

He heard the rustle of paper on the line. "My name is Shauna, sir," the young woman said.

"Shauna, thank you for explaining everything to me. Is there anything I can do online in the interim. I'm currently in Manchester."

"Yes ... yes there is. Do you have WhatsApp?"

"I did, but I am without a cellphone right now," he answered, noting that thpe rep sounded a little nervous.

"Miss Shauna, is everything okay? You sound distracted."

A nervous laugh filled his ears. He liked her laugh. He felt a fluttering in his chest.

"It's nothing. Do you have access to the internet?" she asked.

He nodded absentmindedly. "Yes, I do."

"Go to this website ...," she told him the URL for the site. "Just type in your full name, your username and personalized pin--the one you created to do your online banking."

"Okay," he said.

"There will be several packages and their details, and of course how to sign up. When you've filled out the form, you will receive a phone call where you'll be invited to come in and finalize the process," Shauna said.

"Thank you so much for explaining everything to me. You have been very patient," Marcus said with a smile.

"It was a pleasure as your investment banking rep to explain the process to you. Have a good day!" Shauna beamed.

"I definitely will after talking to you," he said. For the first time in a while he felt his heart rate go up in conversation with a woman. He was curious about how this Shauna looked, but wouldn't press his luck. He cleared his throat.

"Good bye. Thanks again."

"You're welcome, sir," Shauna said. Her voice came out soft and breathy.

Marcus noticed the change in her tone. His fingers coiled around the telephone cord. He opened his mouth to say something, but decided against it. He hung up.

He was gonna cook dinner for her. Jordan rode out to the nearest supermarket and bought her lobster tail and some Irish potatoes. He was going to cook curry lobster tail and mashed potatoes. He was also thinking of doing fried sweet plantains and steamed callaloo. He had those items already in the fridge.

Before going home, he went to New Kingston and stepped into a jewelry store to purchase something special for her. It was time he showed that he was very serious about her.

He was disappointed that he didn't get to satisfy his cravings for her, but he already resolved in his heart that he would be patient with her. He hoped this gift would help her see that she was the only one he needed and the only one that made him feel this way. He hoped she would like it.

For beverage, he was thinking of something simple. Maybe lemonade would suffice. Tonight would be special for them whether he had her as dessert or not.

After he got the things he needed from the store and came back, he was surprised to see Lissa cleaning his home. There wasn't much to clean up, but she decided to do some light dusting of the furniture. He helped her change the bed sheets and she willingly cleaned the shower enclosure for him.

By the time he had finished cooking dinner, she had showered and came out looking fresh and delectable. He grabbed her by her waist and kissed her lips, nibbling playfully on the bottom lip. His eyes softened in a way she hadn't noticed before.

"You are amazing. Do you know that?" he asked.

She giggled and shook her head. "Okay, I'm not sure about that, but I will take the compliment."

He took her hand and brought her to the living room couch. It was a huge, dark grey couch which she could easily fall asleep on. He turned on the cable on his television and told her to relax while he took a shower.

Five minutes later when he entered the room he was wearing a black pair of fitted jeans with a black bow tie around his neck. Lissa's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Though he wore the bow tie, he had on no shirt. She watched him, her eyes hungrily devouring every muscle curl, every ripple. The tight jeans showed off his muscular thighs and round butt. Lissa grinned at him. "What's the occasion?" she asked, feeling bowled over.

He went into the fridge and retrieved the glass jug filled with lemonade. He had two champagne glasses. He removed them from his display cabinet and rinsed them. While drying them he blew her kisses. Lissa returned his kisses and watched him.

"I know this looks corny, but there's no rule against drinking lemonade from a champagne glass--as far as I know," he said. He looked at her with a cheeky smile. Lissa chuckled softly. "As far as I know, no," she said.

She cocked her head to the left. "What's the occasion? Not that I don't love seeing you like this. You're really sexy," she said. She couldn't take her eyes off him.

He smiled at her. "I want to ravish you tonight," he said simply.

"I-I don't know," she said. But her body yearned for his touch.

"Just because we can't go all the way doesn't mean I can't still make you feel good," he said softly. His voice had a hypnotic lilt to it that made her heart rate spike. "Didn't I last night?"

She blushed. "Yes, you did," she answered truthfully. He looked up after hearing the desire in her tone.

"You were dripping wet." His voice was almost a growl.

A thrill ran up her spine. She was throbbing for him. She could feel her little nub aching for his fingers. Almost as if he could read her thoughts, he blew her a kiss and winked at her. She swallowed and smiled back at him.

He poured some of the lemonade into the champagne glasses and handed one to her. She took it, allowing her fingers to brush on his. Her loins clenched as a tingly sensation shot through her. He came and sat beside her on the couch. She stared at his tattoos, her eyes taking everything in.

He sipped his lemonade and looked at her. "I want to please you in every way. Maybe we rushed a little last night. So I've decided to take my time getting your body ready. I won't try to penetrate you if you're not comfortable, but Lis I want to leave that option open ..." He looked deeply into her eyes. "Tonight it's all about you. Everything that happens tonight is up to you."

Lissa gulped down the tangy liquid and looked at him quietly. He touched her face. "Come here," he whispered. He took her hand and led her to the dining table. He pulled out a chair and seated her in it. She blushed when she felt his hands lightly brush on her arms. She was wearing a black and white tank top and a blue jeans skirt. She looked at his chest and thought she would scream for happiness. She bit down on her bottom lip.

He brought the food to the table and she offered to help him share it. He chuckled then said, "Don't you see my uniform?" He gestured at himself cheekily. "I am your butler for the evening, madam." Lissa laughed at his comical expression.

He asked what she wanted, and she told him. While they ate she chatted animatedly, her eyes glowing with mischief and happiness. Jordan watched her intently, happy to see her filled with so much joy. He reached out and lifted her left hand to his lips and kissed it.

Lissa blushed. "How did I get so lucky?' she asked feeling dazed.

"You fell in love with a guy like me," he said chuckling softly. "Impulsive, head strong but a hopeless romantic. I love you Melissa Dixon and for the rest of my life I plan on showing that to you." He got up and went to his bedroom. He came back with a small black box in his hand. Lissa covered her mouth. Her eyebrows shot up.

"What? What is that? she asked stunned.

Jordan grinned at her and sat on a chair. "Not an engagement ring, but a promise, a vow." He opened the box to show her the ring. It was gold with a pink stone in it. "I want you to wear this ring as a symbol of my care, my love and undying affection to you. And a promise and vow to you that I will always treat you with tenderness, care and devotion. All of me belongs to you. You wearing it also means you belong to me, that you will not share your affections with any other man, only me alone. That you'll save the passion for you and I."

She took the ring from him and slipped it onto her ring finger. She nodded at him, her eyes misty with tears. "Yes, of course I accept. I promise to keep myself for you and only you," she said her voice unsteady. She looked at it and smiled at him. Now she understood how Carli must have felt when Jason gave her that ring. She was happy.

"Lissa, from now on this ring represents my trust in you and your trust in me. I will never do anything to hurt you, and I will trust that it will be the same for you," Jordan said. He took a deep breath. He exhaled and smiled at her, though his eyes were sober. "I've never met a woman like you. I don't want anyone else, only you."

"I must admit after hearing the thing with Shane I was concerned, but ..."

"Jordie," she began, brushing her hand against his cheek. He pressed her hand on his skin savoring her touch. "I am falling in love with you, and I am sure I will be crazy about you before long." She giggled a little and looked at him shyly. "I want this to work. I understand what you meant about letting go. Trust me, my past is my past."

"Even Ryan?" he asked, his eyes guarded.

She nodded sincerely. "Yes, and all others, including Shane. I'm done with them. They are my exes for a reason. I want to be with you," she said her voice filled with emotion. "Trust me," she told him.

He nodded and smiled at her.  "I will," he said quietly.

"Do you trust me, Lis?" he asked. He rose to his feet and came to kneel before her. Her chest was welling up with emotions. "Yes," she answered, her heart beating fast. "Yes, from now on completely and totally."

"Then from now on I am yours and you are mine," he said softly. She hugged him.

He took her hand and slow danced with her while they listened to music through the television--connected to the Internet. He moved his hands up and down her body, tenderly caressing her curves.

His eyes darkened as he looked at her. "You're beautiful," he said, his voice deep and husky. He snaked his hands around and cupped her breasts. He squeezed them, kneading gently. Lissa moaned and leaned into him. "Jordie ... hmm, I love you."

"I love you too sexy lady," he whispered.

"Do you want to try again?" he asked softly. He circled her waist. But she shook her head. "Not all the way, but there are other things I'm dying to do to you," she said, looking up at him and licking her lips. He chuckled seductively. "Okay, I do like the sound of that," he answered.

"So you want it now, eh?" she teased. He laughed and slapped her butt. She gasped.  She was wet for him. If only I was better! she thought.

"I never said I wouldn't take it from you, beautiful," he said. "I was trying to hold off a bit longer, that's all." He gave a soft chuckle and held her close, squeezing her to his chest.

He looked up and his eyes caught the fading sunlight on the wall where a wooden cross was hanging. It was a gift from his grandmother. He remembered his grandmother's words to him about finding the one for him.

These were her last words to him before she went into the hospital and never came out: "There will come a time you will fall in love, Jordie. One of these days you will meet someone-- a beautiful, sincere woman will come into your life. Love and cherish her, but remember God, my dear. Without him your relationship won't work."

He closed his eyes as he remembered her. Her strong faith in God anchored the family in difficult times. She was a caring, selfless woman and he missed her. Bending his head, he opened his eyes and brushed his lips on Lissa's brow. He inhaled the scent of lavender oil and smiled. It was Deloris's favorite fragrance. No wonder Sophia always used it in her perfumed oils and soaps.

His grip tightened around his woman as he danced with her. He sighed. He loved Lissa. He was dying to have her, but he was a Christian. There was something he needed to prove to himself: that he could be faithful and true to his beliefs and be with her at the same time. He closed his eyes. I have to try, he told himself.

"Tell you what," he said, bending his head to look at her. His eyes were filled with affection. "What if we forgo the intimacy completely for now? You need more time to heal and I promised myself that I would wait for you."

She looked into his eyes. "Are you sure?" she asked, seeing him with fresh eyes. She brushed her hands on his bare chest. "I recall earlier you said you wanted to ravish me," she reminded him, left eyebrow raised--an amused look on her face.

He squeezed her tightly then chuckled. "Mhm, I did say that, but I need to prove something to myself, and I want our relationship to blossom. If I say I love you I should treat you like the precious treasure you are. If you keep your kitty for me, I will save myself for you. I want to marry you." He rubbed his hands on her round bottom and squeezed gently.

Lissa leaned on him, circling her arms around his waist. His hands on her body felt right. She could feel the muscles of his back flexing under her fingers. God, is it wrong that I want him to take me tonight? I'm weak for him and I want to make him happy, she thought.

Lissa looked up at his eyes. She saw that he was serious. She squeezed back the tears. She took a deep breath. Exhaling through her mouth, she smiled at him--her lips lopsided. "You're serious?" she asked.

He nodded. "Yes," he said. He continued to caress her derriere. "You're beautiful, sweet and kind. I want you all to myself."

She looked at his massive chest, then asked, "All of this will be mine if I wait?"

Lissa brushed her hands on his bare flesh, enjoying the hard muscles under her fingers. She felt her loins tense with desire--heat coiling inside her. She closed her eyes and groaned softly.

He pressed his groin to her lower abdomen and she gasped. He was hard for her. Her eyes wandered below. Jordan chuckled and used his thumb and index finger to lift her face so he could see her eyes. They smoldered with desire, mirroring his hunger for her.

He nodded, smiling at her. Heat coursed through his veins as her hands tentatively explored him. "All of me," he promised, his voice soft. He felt himself grow harder down below and bit his bottom lip. "If you save your tight, wet kitty for me, you can have all of me."

A broad smile formed on her visage. "Deal," she said.

He laughed as he saw her facial expression. He hugged her tight. "Deal," he said.
